Marigold

This is one hugely popular flower and the variety of colours that it is available in is also quite expansive. Besides the ordinary orange, yellow and red, there is also the combination of the white and yellow or even the maroon and yellow which you can choose from. Unconventional colours like light green are also available for marigolds. These flowers require the minimum looking after because you do not need to water them off and on. The normal amount of rain which falls at anytime is more than sufficient for them. If you plant this flower then you will get blooms within a period of maximum fifty days.

Zinnia

This is another flower highly recommended for any garden whatsoever. They are flowers which are in constant bloom all throughout seasons and can be kept without much maintenance. However, if there is paucity of rain then you might need to keep on watering the same constantly. One word of warning though; when you water, make sure that you do not wet the foliage too much. If the foliage remains wet then there are high chances of fungal infections which can spoil the blooms as well as the plant for life.

Cosmos

This is another flower which is very easy to maintain because they can be grown anywhere. Depending on the type of soil they are growing in, they can grow for upto four feet tall from two inches tall. Usually, due to less hazardous quality of the maintenance it is a very common choice of gardeners. Also, they make excellent bouquet markers and are often cut up from gardens to add a certain zing to a simple and plain bouquet.

Sunflower

For me personally, a sunflower is the best flower for a garden. If you have a sunflower in your garden then you just do not need to have anything else. They can grow to amazing heights of like six to eight feet depending on the type of flower you have selected. These flowers some in one prominent colour and that are yellow with a huge circle in the middle that is black. Sunflowers are flowers which can truly brighten up your garden.

Morning glory

Another flower which can grow to much heights, maximum being ten feet. They come in a variety of colours and are the best flowers to be grown if a gardener is a novice and is not sure what will fit the garden or the temperature at which the garden will stay.

But, that is not to say that you can just let these plants be. True they require less maintenance but that is just in comparison to others who require more care than a growing baby. So, keep your pruning shears and water can handy since through a start with these flowers you will be able to learn as well as mange to maintain and handle flowers and have more knowledge about gardening.
